Packed with legendary names, iconic songs and generation-spanning favourites, this incredible collection delivers hit after hit, making it the perfect soundtrack for every occasion and an ideal gift for music lovers of all ages. Out November 13th!
LP1 opens with two iconic collaborations: Queen & David Bowie’s ‘Under Pressure’, which topped the UK Chart in 1981, and Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson’s ‘Say Say Say’, which reached #2 (and #1 in the US). Dolly Parton’s feel-good classic ‘9 To 5’ is next ahead of Spandau Ballet’s ageless ‘Gold’ and Eurythmics’ ‘Here Comes The Rain Again’. To close the side two timeless ballads from Elton John with ‘I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues’ and Billy Joel with ‘An Innocent Man’, while over on the other side, Gloria Gaynor’s timeless #1 ‘I Will Survive’ leads into a stellar run of timeless disco including Chic’s ‘Le Freak’, Sister Sledge’s ‘We Are Family’, Earth, Wind & Fire’s Top 3 hit ‘September’ and Donna Summer’s ‘Hot Stuff’. The Killers’ ‘Mr. Brightside’ adds an enduring modern anthem ahead of more contemporary hits from Ed Sheeran and ‘Shape Of You’, which spent a whopping 14 weeks at #1 in the UK, as well as Coldplay’s ‘A Sky Full Of Stars’.
LP2 begins with a peerless classic from The Rolling Stones with ‘Miss You’, The Police’s #1 ‘Walking On The Moon’ and Electric Light Orchestra’s ‘Livin’ Thing’. Neil Diamond’s ‘Forever In Blue Jeans’ features alongside genre defying classics from Dusty Springfield, Rod Stewart and 10cc, whilst the side closes with one of Roxy Music’s finest ‘Oh Yeah’. Flip the LP over for soul gems from The Supremes with ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ and Stevie Wonder’s ‘For Once In My Life’, and Dionne Warwick with ‘Walk On By’, and sophisticated jazz influenced hits from Amy Winehouse with ‘Back To Black’ and Alison Moyet’s cover of ‘That Ole Devil Called Love’ alongside Mama Cass’ ‘Dream A Little Dream Of Me’ and the poignant 1987 version of Marianne Faithfull’s ‘As Tears Go By’. The LP closes with Sinéad O’Connor’s still stunning version of ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’.
LP3 opens with Bruce Springsteen’s beautiful ‘Secret Garden’ ahead of huge 80’s gold from Sting, Philip Bailey and Phil Collins’ #1 ‘Easy Lover’ plus another huge collaboration from Meat Loaf with Cher on ‘Dead Ringer For Love’. A run of iconic ‘60s signature songs completes the side from The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel and Elvis Presley, and over on the final side, another run of peerless vocals from Roberta Flack with ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’, John Lennon’s ‘Woman’ and The Pretenders with ‘I’ll Stand By You’. Robbie Williams features with ‘Feel’ along with Take That’s #1 ‘Back For Good’, and the collection winds down with ‘Hello’, the 1984 chart-topping ballad for Lionel Richie whilst it’s left to Whitney Houston to sign-off this sensational album, bringing a powerful finale with her smash ‘Greatest Love Of All’.
Featuring a packed tracklist of instantly recognisable classics and enduring timeless favourites, NOW – Legends is a collection that can be enjoyed across generations. Spanning over five decades of unforgettable hits, it's the ultimate celebration of the songs and artists that have defined popular music. Out November 13th.
