Laura Branigan’s ‘Self Control’ has seen huge popularity again recently, while the side is completed by Marillion’s ‘Kayleigh’, Foreigner’s ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’ and The Cars’ ‘Drive’- three of the ‘80’s biggest ballads…flip the LP over for one of Elton John’s signature songs, the brilliant ‘Tiny Dancer’ ahead of Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Total Eclipse Of The Heart’ – a massive #1 single and one of the defining hits of the genre, here alongside another chart-topper ‘Heaven Is A Place On Earth’ from Belinda Carlisle. Essential tracks follow from Rick Springfield, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar and Toto with the enduringly popular ‘Africa’.
